Being a seasoned experiencer of synchronicities, it takes a lot to get me vocalizing out loud my existential exasperation at this mind-fucking phenomenon. One factor that can increase the intensity of a synchronicity is when it comes from an unlikely source. Cue Sandra Bullock and her role as an FBI agent in the cheesy movie, Miss Congeniality (2000), which I caught a few scenes of in my hotel room last night (room 237). Are you ready for this one?
If anyone remembers this movie, it has Sandra going undercover at a beauty pageant, and hilarity ensues because Bullock’s character is a crass, fighting-prone woman who is the exact opposite of beauty pageant material. To set the scene of occult decoding, we have a curious pair for the pageant hosts. Why curious? Well, because Candace Bergen is connected to the Charles Manson murders, and William Shatner is connected to the Council of the Nine, via Star Trek’s Gene Roddenberry. And we’re just getting started.
Right now my synchronicity antenna is tuned to the Montanan/Texas connection that has brought me from Missoula to Waco and, later today, to Austin. So, it would be pretty nuts to have a Missoula/Austin connection in a cheesy movie released in 2000 that I saw only parts of last night. Right?
The Montana connection begins with Sandra’s last name, Bullock, which is the same last name as our former Attorney General, then Governor, then (because his ego is that big) presidential candidate, Steve Bullock. And what does Steve owe his BIG EGO to? Maybe it’s the name association with Seth Bullock, the famous law man of Deadwood.
Before getting to the more specific Montana reference that inspired my yelling at my computer, let’s look at Texas, where this movie is supposed to take place. While San Antonio is the stated location in the movie, much of it was actually filmed in Austin. From the link:
The story is set in New York City and San Antonio. Scenes showing the exterior of the St. Regis New York, as well as a few street scenes, were shot on location in New York, and Weehawken, New Jersey. The Alamo and River Walk scenes were shot on location in San Antonio. The majority of the film was shot in Austin, Texas: scenes depicting the interior of the St. Regis were shot in Austin’s Driskill Hotel; the pageant scenes were shot at the Bass Concert Hall at the University of Texas at Austin; and scenes depicting the pageant contestants in their hotel rooms were shot in the Omni Austin at South Park.
Ok, I thought, this is getting weird. Then, earlier today, I went searching for the note from the bad guy that the FBI is trying to decipher, because that’s where I saw MONTANA the previous night, but didn’t get a clear look at the rest of what it said.
I didn’t find the whole letter that “The Citizen” sent, warning of the bomb, but I found just enough to once again wonder, out loud, WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING HERE? From the link:
When the FBI receive the first letter from The Citizen. The first sentence says “I write again from Misulu Montana”. Whereas the correct city in Montana is “Missoula”, this is purposeful misspelling as part of the code of the poem – as Hart later points out. Each word with “mis” is one of the code words and the letter immediately following is the next letter in the code. Put together, all the letters spell “united states” – hence Miss United States: Misulu, misnumbered, misinformed, mistaking, misery, miss divine… missiles, amidst, misadventures, mist, misers, misspoke. Though the rule of the code is not strictly adhered to throughout, the misspelling of Missoula is intentional and necessary to identify the code.
See what I’m talking about? This is insane, and it just keeps happening, over and over again, and sometimes in such timely and specific ways that I’m STILL prone to chills and screams of WHAT THE FUCK?
There’s more, but my time with the hotel wifi is almost up, and I’ve got a TEXAS Sheriff’s Office to visit today before heading off to Austin.
Pray for me.
